John Lyons was hired as La Salle's Head Swimming and Diving Coach in 1982, and 37 years later he retires as Senior Associate Athletic Director. Travel back in time as we take an inside look at the teams and people that make up La Salle Athletics with our seventh edition of Inside The L, the long journey of John Lyons.

Lyons has made a significant impact on La Salle Athletics, both as a coach and as an administrator. He had tremendous success coaching the swimming and diving teams for 17 years, including 19 team titles and 11 conference Coach of the Year awards, but more than that, he left a lasting impression on his student-athletes.
