PHILADELPHIA – La Salle swimming & diving claimed all four conference weekly awards, the A-10 announced on Tuesday.
Sophomores
Zachary Wolbert and
Phoebe Shaya were named Performers of the Week while freshmen
Sam Henninger and
Lauren Fenn were tabbed Rookies of the Week.
For the women, Shaya led the way with wins in both of her events last Tuesday vs. Villanova. Shaya recorded 271.35 points in the 3-meter dive and 255.98 points in the 1-meter. Fenn had herself a solid outing with a second-place result in the 100 Back (59.52) and third-place times in the 200 Back and 200 Medley Relay.
On the men's side, Wolbert claimed first-place finishes in the 100 Fly (51.43) and 200 Fly (1:52.60) against the Wildcats. He also took second in the 200 IM. For his part, Henninger placed first in the 3-meter dive with a score of 302.93, meaning he has won that event in four of his last five meets.
The Explorers wrap up the semester this weekend with the Bucknell Invitational. The three-day contest spans from Friday to Sunday.
