LEWISBURG, Pa. – Men's swimming and diving concluded the second day of the Bucknell Invitational in fourth place on 671 points. The Explorers recorded a number of podium finishes on the day, headlined by sophomore
Zachary Wolbert's first-place finish in the 400 IM.
MEET NOTES
- Wolbert's time of 3:59.33 was 1.41 seconds faster than the second-place finisher in the event. It was La Salle's first winning race of the Invitational.
- Senior Marcus Forsgren was half a second shy of picking up the second win in Lewisburg. The Swede took second in the 100 Breast with a time of 56.55.
- Senior Norm Gregory rounded out the individual podium finishes with a third-place time in the 200 Free, touching in 1:39.38.
- Sophomore Ian Venter also swam well in the 100 Back, taking fourth in 49.67 seconds.
- In the relay, the Explorers claimed third in both the 200 Medley and 800 Free. Venter, Wolbert and Gregory were involved in both races, while Forsgren was the fourth man in the Medley and junior Daniel Johnson rounded out the Free.
