NEWS & NOTES

•The most recent defeat came at the hands of Preseason Atlantic 10 favorite Saint Louis, 62-49, on Saturday, Feb. 16.
•Junior Saul Phiri and freshman Ed Croswell were the only two La Salle players to reach double figures in scoring, registering 12 and 10 points, respectively.

•Croswell continued his recent tear in the paint, collecting 14 rebounds to go along with his 10 points which gave him his second double-double this season.
•Over his last six games, the 6-8 forward is averaging 11.8 rebounds per contest and has grabbed 11 or more in four of those outings.
•Graduate student Pookie Powell, one of the top scorers in the Atlantic 10, was held to just two points on 1-of-6 shooting against Saint Louis.
•The two-point output was the lowest for the 6-0 guard during his La Salle career and just the fourth time this season that he has been held in single digits.
