NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Two members of the La Salle University men's track and field team, Chris Lewis and Ryan James, have been named to the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field All-Rookie Team.
 
The All-Rookie teams comprised the top rookie performer in each event from meets conducted from the start of the regular season through the Atlantic 10 Championships.
 
Lewis, who was selected as A-10 Rookie of the Week on Jan. 15, has been La Salle's top sprinter throughout the indoor season. He posted two top-5 finishes at the A-10 Championships over the weekend, earning bronze in the 200-meter dash and taking fourth in the 60-meter dash.
 
James, an all-conference runner during the cross country season, is in his first full season competing on the track. He placed fourth in the 3,000-meter run at the A-10 Indoor Championships this past weekend and also added a 12th place showing in the 5,000 meters as well.
 
Lewis, James and 14 other members of La Salle's men's and women's teams will be competing this weekend at the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships in Boston, Mass.
