PHILADELPHIA – La Salle continued conference play with a 12-3 defeat to Davidson on Friday. Sophomore Bridget Ruskey led the way for the Explorers with a goal and an assist; classmate Allison Hunter, along with senior Isabel Caddick, also got on the scoresheet.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Davidson played well in the first half, finishing with a 9-0 lead. The Wildcats scored three goals in the first 10 minutes, three more in the next 10, and three to close out the final 10.
• The visitors began the second frame where they left off—with three straight strikes, all unassisted.
• La Salle closed out the game strongly as they netted the final three goals. Caddick got the Explorers on the board before Ruskey and Hunter followed suit.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Along with leading the team in points, Ruskey also finished second in ground balls (four) and caused turnovers (three.)
• Sophomore goalkeeper Molly Loughlin paced the Explorers with a season-high eight ground balls. In net, she recorded 10 saves on 22 shots.
• Sophomore Priya Kavuru was a disruptive force for La Salle. She led the team in caused turnovers with four, while also scooping up three ground balls.
• Freshman Amanda Farnsworth got her first career start and finished with a season-high two ground balls.
• With a goal today, Hunter has scored in five consecutive games. And with nine points on the season, she has far exceeded her rookie campaign total (two points.)

UP NEXT

• La Salle gets another shot at an A-10 opponent this weekend as they host a noon showdown with VCU on Sunday. The game is noteworthy because it's Alumni Appreciation Day along with being a Lace Up With Lax event.
