Senior Day Set for Men's Basketball at Tom Gola Arena on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - La Salle closes out the regular season on Saturday afternoon as it hosts Fordham for Senior Day at Tom Gola Arena at TruMark Financial Center. The Explorers will honor four members of the program who will be taking part in their final home games: graduate students Pookie Powell and Cheddi Mosely, and senior managers Jordan Russell and Dan Forbes. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m., and all of the action can be seen live on ESPN+.

NEWS & NOTES
•La Salle is also looking for its first win in the month of March, having dropped its second straight contest on Wednesday.
•The Explorers shot just 28.1 percent from the field in a 70-39 loss at Dayton, and registered their lowest point total in a game since a 73-38 loss to Saint Joseph's on Jan. 15, 2005.
•La Salle also failed to have a player reach double figures for the first time since a matchup with Miami (Fla.) on Dec. 22, 2015.
•Sophomore David Beatty had a team-high nine points and freshman Jared Kimbrough narrowly missed a double-double with eight points and nine rebounds.
•The Explorers defeated Fordham earlier this season in the Bronx, N.Y., by a score of 73-71.
•Junior Isiah Deas had 20 points and six assists for La Salle, who led by as many as 16 points in the first half and fended off a late charge by the Rams.
•Trailing by four with 1.3 seconds left, Antwon Portley went to the line for Fordham with three free throws. Portley made the first two and missed the third intentionally.
•The carom went right to Fordham's Onyi Eyisi who had a chance to tie the game but his layup came up just short.

SCOUTING FORDHAM
•Fordham snapped a four-game losing skid with a 67-56 win over George Washington on Wednesday.
•Five players scored in double figures, led by Jalen Cobb's 15 points.
•The Rams held the Colonials to 32.3 percent from the floor and also received an 11-point, nine-rebound, four-block performance from Chuba Ohams.
•Freshman Nick Honor currently leads the team and all Atlantic 10 freshmen in scoring at 15.6 points per game. 

DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME
•With just one game remaining in Atlantic 10 regular-season play, the league's 14 teams are jockeying for positioning heading into the conference tournament on March 13-17 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
•With the loss to Dayton, the Explorers moved into ninth place in the league standings, one game behind Rhode Island and one game in front of both Richmond and Saint Joseph's.
•VCU is atop the league standings at 15-2, two games in front of Davidson.
•The top four teams in the standings following the regular season with receive a double-bye into the quarterfinal round which will be played on Friday.
•The bottom four teams will play on Wednesday afternoon, and be forced to win five games in five days in order to earn the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
