PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle University baseball team will play two midweek games this week, hosting Saint Peter's Tuesday and traveling to Bucknell on Wednesday.
 
LAST TIME OUT

• La Salle dropped 2-of-3 games at Saint Joseph's over the weekend. The Explorers lost game one, 20-7, before bouncing back with a 7-1 win on Friday. The Explorers were just one out away from clinching the series win on Saturday, but blew a three-run lead in the ninth and fell 6-5 in 10 innings.
• Freshman Tatem Levins homered twice and sophomore Jack Cucinotta also hit a solo shot in the setback on Thursday. Sophomore Colin Scanlon pitched a gem, allowing just one run over five innings in the win Friday, while Cucinotta hit two home runs. Sophomore Colin Kennedy followed that up with a strong five innings of four hits and one earned run on Sunday and senior Kevin McGowan was 3-for-4 with two runs and two walks.
• Before that, sophomore Mike Jenkins improved to 4-0 on Tuesday, leading La Salle to a 7-6 win over Penn.

LEVINS NAMED A-10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

• Tatem Levins continued his impressive freshman campaign last week as he hit .412 with two homers and seven RBIs. 
• He scored four runs and now leads the team in home runs and slugging percentage. Levins joins Aidan Frye as fellow Rookie of the Week award winners so far this season.

SCOUTING SAINT PETER'S

• La Salle and Saint Peter's previously met on March 12, a 14-4 win for the Explorers.
• The Peacocks are now 2-31, with both wins coming in the MAAC. They are 0-16 on the road and have lost eight straight games.
• Peter Ferony hits .280 with 21 RBIs to pace Saint Peter's on offense. Jared Palidino has driven in 17 runs and Hunter Mason has 10 doubles while both are hitting .258.
• The Peacocks have struggled mightily on the mound, with a team ERA of 10.56 and a WHIP of 2.40.

SCOUTING BUCKNELL

• The Bison sit at 10-31 overall and are 3-18 in the Patriot League. They have struggled on the road, going 4-17.
• Bucknell has lost seven in a row, including sweeps against Holy Cross and Lehigh as well as a midweek defeat to Navy.
• The Bison will play Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday.
• JohnPaul Bell leads the squad with a .327 average and 32 RBIs. Tyler Wincig has a team-best eight homers and 20 RBIs to go with his .320 average.
• Bucknell has a team ERA of 7.06 and a WHIP of 1.80. Opponents are hitting .277 against the Bison.
