PHILADELPHIA – Women's swimming & diving recorded its second straight win, defeating Seton Hall 178-122 on Senior Day. Senior
Carrie Horan led the graduating class with a pair of wins, while the team collectively corralled 13 victories.
MEET NOTES
- Horan took first place in the 100 and 200 Breast, with top times of 1:07.11 and 2:24.42 respectively.
- Senior Emily Wolbert had the other notable results from the Class of 2020. She finished second in the 200 Fly and third in the 100 Fly.
- Sophomores Anne Moser and Sara Rizzetto combined for five victories. Moser claimed long-distance results in the 500 Free (5:10.95) and 1000 Free (10:31.39), while Rizzetto was victorious in the 200 Free (1:53.85), 200 Back (2:05.07) and 200 IM (2:08.46).
- The other sophomore standout on the day was Phoebe Shaya. She took both events on the boards, in the 1-meter (250.58) and 3-meter (253.13).
- Freshman watch: Toni Rafferty continued her impressive first semester in the blue and gold. She sprinted to victories in the 50 Free (23.98) and 100 Free (52.36), while touching second in the 100 Fly. Fellow rookies Lauren Fenn took silver in the 100 Back, while Brynn Peterson tallied the same result in the 100 Free.
- The women bookended their afternoon with relay wins. Horan, Wolbert, Fenn and Peterson took the 200 Medley (1:48.84), while Moser, Rafferty, Rizzetto and Peterson earned the top time in the 400 Free (3:36.56).
COACH'S TAKE
- Head coach Jamie Platt was optimistic after the win, saying: "It was a great celebration and send off for our senior class. Both teams thrived in this meet on the boards and in the pool. The end of the season is coming quick and I like how we are preparing for success."

- The final meet of the regular season is a week away as the Explorers take the short trip to Villanova for Villanova Sprint Fest at noon.
