PHILADELPHIA – After a convincing win Wednesday night at Monmouth, the La Salle women's basketball team (1-1) will return to action on Saturday at 4 p.m. when it hosts Saint Francis (Pa.) (0-3) in a nationally streamed contest on ESPN+.
 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:

• La Salle enters play 1-1 overall under third-year head coach Mountain MacGillivray.
• The Blue & Gold claimed a 64-46 win Wednesday night at Monmouth. Sophomore Claire Jacobs and junior Molly Masciantonio combined for 30 points in the victory.
• C. Jacobs leads the team with 16.0 ppg on 75% (6-of-8) shooting, including 60% (3-of-5) from long range.
• Jacobs is joined by Masciantonio with 10.5 ppg as the only Explorers averaging double figures.
• Five additional Explorers are scoring at least 5.0 ppg on average with senior Haleigh Hill and freshman Jaye Haynes at 8.5 ppg apiece.
• Junior Kayla Spruill is pacing the team in rebounding with 7.0 per game.
• Collectively, La Salle is shooting 32.9% from the floor, 28.1% from long range, and 75.0% from the line, while scoring 65.0 points per game.

SCOUTING THE RED FLASH:

• Saint Francis comes into Saturday's game at 0-3 overall under second year head coach Keila Whittington.
• SFU has losses to Michigan State, Penn State, and Duquesne.
• Wednesday's loss to the Dukes was on a buzzer beater, 69-67.
• Karson Swagger (12.3) and Lili Benzel (10.3) lead the Red Flash in scoring, followed by four others above 5.0 ppg.
• Jada Dapaa is averaging a team high 5.7 rebound per outing.
• The Red Flash are shooting 35.8% from the field, 19.7% from three-point range, and 79.5% from the stripe for 55.0 ppg.

SERIES HISTORY:
