WEST POINT, N.Y. - The La Salle University men's basketball team returns to action on Sunday afternoon with a road trip to the U.S. Military Academy for a meeting with Army West Point on Sunday. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+, beginning at 4:00 p.m. The Voice of the Explorers

NEWS & NOTES
•La Salle opened up the new season at the Lapchick Tournament in Queens, N.Y., falling to St. John's, 82-65, and Saint Peter's, 62-51.
•In their season opener on Thanksgiving, the Explorers stood within six of St. John's at halftime, but turnovers proved costly for La Salle, as the Red Storm tallied 33 points off 26 Explorer turnovers.
•The last time out against Saint Peter's, the Explorers jumped out to an eight-point lead early on and trailed by just two at the break. However, the Peacocks shot 51.7% from the field in the second half to run away with the win.
•Freshman
Jhamir Brickus was named to the Lapchick All-Tournament Team after averaging 10.5 points per game on 9-for-11 shooting over the two games. Early on in the season, Brickus leads the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage (81.8%) and is second in three-point percentage (75.0%).
•Sophomore
Ayinde Hikim led La Salle in the opener vs. St. John's with 14 points and three assists. Brickus and sophomores

Sherif Kenney all scored in double figures.
•Senior
Scott Spencer was the team's top scorer vs. Saint Peter's with 11 points. Brickus scored 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-3 3PT), while redshirt junior
Clifton Moore had nine points, five boards and three blocks.
SCOUTING ARMY
•The Black Knights have already played four games, entering Sunday's contest with a 3-1 record overall.
•Army cruised past Merchant Marine Academy and Central Connecticut before edging out Buffalo, 78-74, to start 3-0 for the first time in five years.
•In their last outing, the Black Knights suffered their first defeat of the season, narrowly falling to Florida, 76-69.
•Army led by eight at halftime but was outscored 45-30 by the Gators in the second half.
•Lonnie Grayson leads Army in scoring with 13.8 points per game, while Josh Caldwell boasts 12.5 points, 6.3 recounds and 2.8 steals per contest.
ALL-TIME SERIES
•This will be the 19th all-time meeting between La Salle and Army.
•It will be the first time the Explorers and Black Knights have met since the 2011-12 season.
•The Explorers have won six straight games vs. Army, winning each contest by double digits.
•La Salle is 4-2 all-time on the road at Army. The home team is 11-5 in the series.
•The majority of the teams' meetings came when they were both members of the MAAC from 1983-90, with La Salle going 10-4 in those conference matchups. •The last time La Salle visited Army, the Explorers rolled to a 94-70 victory during the 1988-89 season.
