PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle Explorers will host their home opener on Tuesday when they welcome the Lincoln (Pa.) Lions to Tom Gola Arena for the first time. The contest will tipoff at 4:00 p.m., and will air live on ESPN+.

NEWS & NOTES
•La Salle looked to be on its way to its first victory of the season at Army on Sunday after jumping out to a 15-point lead early on, but a second-half surge lifted the Black Knights past the Explorers in nail-biting fashion, 63-59.
•In just his third game back from injury, redshirt sophomore Jack Clark had a game-high 18 points and a career-best nine rebounds. He also reached career highs in field goals (5-10) and three-point field goals (4-8) over 29 minutes.
•Freshman Jhamir Brickus scored in double digits for the third consecutive game with 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including a perfect 3-for-3 in the first half, while also tallying three steals.
•A strong defensive effort by La Salle in the first half limited Army to just 30.8 percent shooting and a lowly 16.7 percent from downtown in the opening period, leading to a 31-23 halftime advantage for the Explorers.
•Army turned it around in the second half though and hit on 59.3 percent of its shots in the final frame.
•La Salle stood within two after a steal and two free throws by senior David Beatty, but a late turnover and two Army free throws in the final seconds sealed it for the Black Knights.

SCOUTING LINCOLN (PA.)
•The Lions, members of Division II, are off to a solid 2-0 start to the season with lopsided wins over Salem and Bluefield State.
•In those two wins, Lincoln scorched the nets for an average of 105 points per game.
•The last time out in an exhibition at Morgan State, the Lions once more scored in bunches, shooting an even 50 percent from the floor in a high-scoring 102-94 defeat against the DI Bears.
•Lincoln had four double-digit scorers in the exhibition, including 26 points from Bernard Lightsey and 24 from Korey Williams.
•The Lions have three players averaging 20+ points per game in Bernard Lightsey (22.5), Ja'Zere Noel (21.5) and Korey Williams (21.0).

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. LINCOLN (PA.)
•This will be the first official meeting between the La Salle Explorers and Lincoln (Pa.) Lions.

ROOKIE MAKING NOISE EARLY IN CAREER
•Freshman guard Jhamir Brickus has made his presence felt on this La Salle team only three games into his career.
•Brickus has scored in double figures in each of his first three games with an efficient touch from inside and outside.
•After posting 11 points and 10 points in his first two contests, Brickus again tallied 11 points at Army, going 5-for-7 from the floor while also posting three steals. •The Coatesville, Pa. native ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage (77.8%) and third in three-point field goal percentage (66.7%), while he is also tied for fifth in the league with 2.0 steals per game.
