LAKELAND, Fla. - The NBA's official minor league recognized its top performers by naming the 2019-20 Midseason All-NBA G League Teams on Monday. Former La Salle men's basketball standout B.J. Johnson is one of 24 players to be named to the list, as voted on by NBA G League players, coaches and general managers.

Eligibility for players to be selected for recognition is based on having played in 50 percent of their team's games and being on an active roster. Two-way players and players on assignment from the NBA are eligible to both vote for and receive Midseason All-NBA G League recognition.

Johnson currently leads all eligible G League players in scoring at 23.7 points per game, and is shooting 43.9 percent from three-point range. A two-time All-Philadelphia Big 5 First Team honoree while an Explorer, the 6-7 forward is also averaging 6.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.0 steals per game.

The Philadelphia native has played in eight regular-season games for the NBA's Orlando Magic, with the highlight coming in a Jan. 15 contest in Los Angeles. Squaring off against LeBron James and the league-leading Lakers, Johnson scored nine points and added three rebounds and two steals as the Magic pulled out a 119-118 win.
