Maddie Dachowski, while the total goal output was La Salle's most since a win over Central Michigan on February 25th, 2018.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Explorers jumped out to a 4-0 lead within the opening 10 minutes of the game. LIU answered, but La Salle's response was to score four of the following five goals and went into the half with an 8-2 lead.
- The away side's offensive assault didn't slow down out of the half as they netted nine goals through 22 minutes of the second. At that point, the Blue & Gold's lead had swelled to 17-4. The Sharks scored twice more but to little consequence.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Raymond and Iacobucci paced the team with six points, each assisting three times. Ruskey and Hunter also provided one assist.
- Ruskey and Hunter led the team in draw controls with three, along with classmate Emily Johnston. Johnston also had a strong game in front of net with two goals.
- Kucia's Career Day: Senior Lexi Kucia was an imposing force on defense, finishing with career-high in ground balls (five) and caused turnovers (three).
- In net, junior Molly Loughlin impressed with eight saves on 12 shots faced.
