SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The La Salle University baseball team wrapped up its three-game series at Wofford on Sunday in an 11-2 defeat. It was Wofford's sixth straight win and 13th on the year.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• La Salle went ahead quickly in the first inning as freshman Elijah Dickerson scored the opening run on a sacrifice fly by sophomore Tatem Levins.
• The Terriers tied the game up on an RBI double in the second and it was all Wofford from that point on.
• Wofford then opened up a 6-1 lead with a five-run third inning, capped off by a Colin Davis three-run home run.
• The home team added to its lead with two runs in the fifth, one run in the sixth and two more in the eighth to take a commanding 11-1 advantage.
• Sophomore Nick O'Day drove in Levins with an RBI single in the ninth, but that was it for the Explorers.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Senior Ryan Guckin went 2-for-4, while freshman Jordan Morales struck out two in a scoreless inning of relief.

UP NEXT

• The Explorers will conclude their road swing at Rider on Tuesday with a 3 p.m. first pitch.
