OLEAN, N.Y. - The La Salle men's soccer team returns to action on the road at St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Oct. 16. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle enters the match following a loss at home on Saturday, Oct. 9 to Atlantic-10 rival Davidson.
- An early penalty kick gave the Wildcats a 1-0 advantage over the Explorers who quickly tied it up with a goal from Omari Cotterell.
- Two fouls right outside the box gave Davidson the scoring opportunity it needed to take the 3-1 lead with 38 minutes remaining in the game. Cotterell tried to bring the Explorers back within reach, 3-2, but the Wildcats scored one last time for the 4-2 victory.
- Cotterell holds the most shots on the team with 27 in 11 games. He also ranks third in points with 7.
- Junior Nare continues to lead the attack for the Explorers with four goals in 11 games.
- Carlos Mora has manned the net in the last four games for La Salle and has made a total of 20 saves this season.
ABOUT THE BONNIES:
- St. Bonaventure enters the match following a 4-2 victory over Army at home on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
- Army came out of the gate with two goals in the first 11 minutes to take an early lead.
- The Bonnies quickly answered the call in the 18th minute with a goal from Matthew Wrobel. The team went on to score three more unanswered goals in the second half to defeat Army.
- Cuneyt Vardar recorded three assists in the game tying the program school record for most assists in a single game.
- Joshua Pulla leads the attack for St. Bonaventure with a team-high five goals in 11 games.
