KINGSTON, R.I. – The La Salle men's soccer team starts its three-game road series this Saturday, Oct. 23 at Rhode Island. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle enters the contest following a loss at home to Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
- The Hawks got off to an early start scoring the only goal of the game in the first two minutes of play. The Explorers rattled off five shots at the goal but couldn't find the equalizer. Saint Joseph's walked away with the 1-0 victory.
- Junior Nare leads the scoring effort for the Explorers with four goals in 13 games. Nigel Buckley and Omari Cotterell have totaled three goals apiece this season.
SCOUTING THE RAMS:
- Rhode Island enters the match following a scoreless draw with Massachusetts on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
- After 68 scoreless minutes, a penalty kick gave the Rams the perfect opportunity to take the lead. The attempt went high over the crossbar.
- Patrick Agyemang leads the attack for the Rams with six goals in 13 games. Isak Oystese follows close behind with five goals.
