PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The La Salle men's soccer team returns to McCarthy Stadium for an afternoon conference contest against Davidson. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle returns to the field following a heartbreaking, double-overtime loss against VCU on Oct. 2.
- The Rams were the first to score in the fifth minute to take an early lead. Junior Nare tied it up for the Explorers nearly 11 minutes later beating out the goalkeeper for the scoring shot.
- The teams battled it out through the rest of regulation to send the game into overtime. With just minutes remaining in the second overtime period, VCU found the back of the Explorers net to walk away with the victory.
- Nare leads the Explorers' attack with four goals, one assist and nine points. Nigel Buckley follows closely behind with three goals, two assists and eight points.
- Omari Cotterell has fired off a team-high 24 shots this season with nine landing on goal.
- Goalkeeper Carlos Mora has recorded 378 minutes in net this fall and has made a team-high 17 saves.
ABOUT THE WILDCATS:
- Davidson enters the game following a tough 5-1 loss to defending Atlantic-10 champion, Fordham on the road.
- The Rams carried a 1-0 lead into the second half off a goal in the 20th minute. Fordham secured its victory with four more goals in the second half.
- The Wildcats avoided the shutout with a last-second goal from Connor Smith.
- Vincent Bennage leads Davidson's attack with six goals and 12 points in 10 games.
- Goalkeeper Giacomo Piccardo has recorded 830 minutes in the net this season making 31 saves in nine games.
