VILLANOVA, PA – Competing for the fourth time in five days, La Salle swimming & diving dropped a pair of duals to Villanova on Tuesday afternoon.
The women's team fell by a final score of 183-114, while the men lost to the Wildcats 183-103.
HOW THE WOMEN FINISHED:
- Anne Moser picked up the first win of the day for La Salle, pacing the pack in 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:34.71.
- Senior Sara Rizzetto continued her torrid pace to start the season, picking up another win in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:52.59.
- In the 50-yard backstroke, Iris Faur touched the wall first with a time of 28.18 to record her first win of the campaign.
- Toni Rafferty added a fourth victory for the Explorers, clocking in at 24.08 in the 50-yard freestyle.
- In the three-meter dive, the Explorers took the top three spots led by Phoebe Shaya's 271.57.
- Erica Kenski finished in second at 237.90, while Julie DaMore took third at 230.47.
HOW THE MEN FINISHED:
- Jason Rosales' final time of 26.77 was good for first in he 50-yard backstroke as he tallied the first win of the day for the men.
- Freshman Caleb Ingham recorded a win in the 50-yard butterfly, timing in at 23.79.
- Trenton Burr's time of 54.14 paced the field in the 100-yard IM, giving him the third Explorers win of the day.
- Burr and Ingham also combined for a relay win, joining teammates Zachary Wolbert and Alec Fatta to close the meet with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
UP NEXT:
The men will be back in the pool on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. when they head to NJIT for their makeup meet after the original meeting between the two sides was postponed on Oct. 16. The women will have an extended break, with their next action coming on Saturday, Jan. 15 against Richmond.
