PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – La Salle University and adidas have entered a multi-year partnership in which the Portland, Ore.,-based company will be the official athletic footwear, apparel and accessory brand of the Explorers beginning with the 2021-22 season.
"We are excited to enter into this groundbreaking deal with adidas," Director of Athletics and Recreation Brian Baptiste said. "This partnership will make a tremendous impact on our ability to serve our student-athletes."
"When we look to the future and as we continue to grow the La Salle brand, it is exciting to know that we will have an internationally-recognized partner in adidas that is innovative, cutting edge, and has such a strong impact on culture and industry."
The deal, which designates both La Salle basketball teams as adidas Partner Programs, includes a trend-setting hybrid model that allows varsity athletic teams the opportunity to take advantage of a direct vendor in ASB Sports. La Salle, adidas and ASB Sports will collaborate to form a synergic relationship rooted in high-quality customer service.
"ASB Sports, in joint partnership with adidas, is pleased to have been selected as the provider of leading sports apparel and equipment that is consistent with the rich history of La Salle University," says Jayme Wisely, ASB Sports CEO. "Equipping athletes to perform at the highest level is the mission of our partnership with La Salle's athletic program."
The Leona Marketing Group, led by President Dan Gale, helped establish the new partnership with adidas and ASB Sports.
"Dan Gale and the Leona Marketing Group were instrumental in assisting us with this partnership," Baptiste said. "The expertise and insight Dan and his team brought to this process was invaluable, and helped to position La Salle for continued growth and success in this vital area."
