PHILADELPHIA – Another familiar face has returned to the pool deck for La Salle swimming & diving as Billy Gordon was named an assistant coach on Friday, according to interim head coach Sasha Malanina. Gordon was previously a graduate assistant with the Explorers from 2018 to 2020.
 
While coaching for the Blue & Gold, Gordon was given key responsibilities under former head coach Jamie Platt. He frequently led practices, worked extensively with training groups, assisted with recruiting efforts and helped drive social media engagement. He graduated in 2020 with a master's degree in education and taught statistics at Unionville High School.
 
On Gordon's return to La Salle, Malanina had this to say: "We're excited to welcome Billy back at La Salle. He brings fantastic energy on deck and his experience and familiarity with the team will help us continue to build a strong foundation as a team!"
 
For hist part, Gordon is ready to get to work with the team he knows so well: "I am thrilled to be back at 20th and Olney, and can't wait to get back to Kirk Pool!"
