PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team (3-1-0, 0-1-0 A-10) will welcome Rhode Island (0-4-2, 0-0-2 A-10) to McCarthy Stadium on Thursday as the Blue & Gold look to snag their first conference win of the season. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. with the match airing on ESPN+.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle dropped out of the United Soccer Coaches Regional Rankings after falling to UMass in the final minute of regulation this past Sunday.
- Rookies Kelli McGroarty and Caitlin Donovan lead the 12 Explorers to record a point this season with three goals and one assist each.
- Senior Amirah Louketis is next with six points after her hat trick performance at Delaware State.
- Redshirt-freshman Jordynn Stallard (2-1-0) has led the Explorers' efforts in net with three starts. She's accrued two shutouts, seven saves, and just one goal allowed.
SCOUTING THE RAMS:
- Rhode Island is yet to pick up a victory this season after beginning with four straight losses and then back-to-back draws.
- Haley Pignatelli has the Rams lone goal of the season.
- In net, both Faith Hutchins and Teresa Morrissey have seen ample playing time. Morrissey has seen over a hundred more minutes than Hutchins and has seven goals against and 21 saves.
- Hutchins took the starting job for two games before Morrissey made the start against Saint Joseph's this past Sunday.
