PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team (7-2-0, 4-2-0 A-10) defeated Saint Joseph's (7-8-2, 2-5-1 A-10) 1-0 on Sunday afternoon to conclude the regular season. Given the conference point percentages, the Explorers could receive a bid to play in the Atlantic 10 Championship.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The lone goal of the game came after a corner kick by senior Jenna Soriano. The ball was headed by Saint Joseph's and went into the back of its own net.
- The Hawks had an opportunity on a shot from Natalie Nevins with 26 remaining that redshirt-freshman Jordynn Stallard made a spectacular jumping save.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Stallard (6-2) picks up her sixth victory and fourth shutout after a two save performance.
