                     PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle men's soccer team (0-1) opens its home season at McCarthy Stadium on Monday evening against St. Francis Brooklyn (0-0-1). Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., with the contest airing on ESPN+. 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
	- La Salle opened the season on the road at Army West Point on Thursday afternoon, dropping a hard-fought 4-2 decision that saw six goals scored in the opening 45 minutes of action.
- Seniors Ike Hollinger and Nigel Buckley registered the goals for the Explorers, who outshot the Cadets by a 17-10 margin and 7-2 in the second half.
- Another senior, Omari Cotterell, had a strong game despite not finding the back of the net. Cotterell had a team-high five shots including three on frame.
- Hollinger added four shots and sophomore Junior Nare had a pair.
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS:
	- St. Francis Brooklyn overcame an early deficit to earn a result against UMass Lowell in its season opener.
- Ivan Tapuskovic tallied the equalizer in the 72nd minute to help the Terriers to a draw.
- In the overtime sessions, SFC held the advantage but could not break the deadlock.
- The Terriers are the reigning Northeast Conference champions and advanced to the second round of the NCAA College Cup in the spring. St. Francis Brooklyn tied No. 3 Indiana but was eliminated in penalty kicks, 3-1.
