BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - La Salle men's soccer hits the road Wednesday for its final tuneup before Atlantic 10 play begins, when it tangles with LIU. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

ABOUT THE EXPLORERS:

• La Salle (2-3) snapped a two-match skid on Saturday with an impressive second-half performance at home against Rider.
• Trailing 1-0, the Explorers broke out for four goals over the final 45 minutes of action to earn a 4-2 victory.
• Seniors Sam DeCencio and Andrew Weir bookended the scoring for La Salle, with junior Franc Gamiz Quer and sophomore Junior Nare also finding the back of the net.
• Seniors Omari Cotterell and Ike Hollinger each had a pair of assists on the night, and both are tied for the team lead in the category through five matches.

ABOUT THE SHARKS:

• LIU enters with a 2-2-1 overall record, having most recently defeated another opponent of La Salle's this season, UMBC, by a 3-1 margin on Sept. 11.
• After the Retrievers had taken an early lead, the Sharks scored three unanswered goals in the second half.
• Emil Jaaskelainen tallied his second goal of the season, the equalizer, in the 62nd minute.
