PITTSBURG, Pa. - The La Salle men's soccer team resumes play on the road this Saturday night in Pittsburgh in a conference matchup against Duquesne. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle (3-5) enters the game off of a 2-1 victory on the road against NJIT on Tuesday night.
- The Explorers struck early with Daniel Kim scoring the first goal of the game in the ninth minute off a pass from Nigel Buckley. The goal marked the second of the season for the freshman midfielder.
- The Highlanders answered back just a minute later to put the game in a 1-1 tie for the next 70 minutes.
- The Blue & Gold had the final say in 82nd minute when an open net gave Buckley the opportunity to secure the victory for the Explorers with his third goal of the season.
ABOUT THE DUKES:
- Duquesne enters the game with a 5-3 record having most recently dropped the contest against Michigan State, 1-0, Tuesday evening.
- Michigan State earned the lone goal early in the 16th minute off a headshot.
- The Dukes rattled off three shots on goal during the contest with senior midfielder Ryan Landry shooting two of the three.
- Maxi Hopfer leads the Dukes in scoring with five goals and four assists in eight games.
