PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Explorers women's soccer team dropped a low-scoring battle to the Davidson Wildcats on Sunday.
La Salle will end the regular season with an 8-8-2 overall record, and 3-6-1 in conference. Davidson will now go to 12-2-4 overall, and 5-2-3 in conference.
How it Happened –
- La Salle come out of the gate putting pressure on the Wildcats' defense with three shots in the opening 10 minutes of the game.
- Davidson's Sophia Caruso took a long shot from the blue line that sailed into the top of the net giving the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.
- The second half was all La Salle as they led 6-0 in shots taken throughout the half, but none got home.
- Shea Collins found Courtney Butlion in the middle of the box, but her shot was met and saved by Mary Grace Bunch in the 62nd minute.

- La Salle led in shots taken 11-3, with seven of those shots being on net, opposed to one by Davidson.
- There were eight total corner kicks taken, seven by the Explorers and one by Davidson.
- 22 total fouls were called, 14 against Davidson and eight against La Salle.
