FAIRFAX, Va. – La Salle men's soccer will continue their 2022 season with a matchup at A-10 conference member George Mason on Wednesday, October 5
th at 7 p.m.
The Explorers enter the contest at 3-5-2 (2-1 in conference) and the Patriots are 2-7 overall (1-2 in conference).
Scouting the Explorers –
- La Salle is coming off a 2-1 victory over St. Bonaventure this past Saturday where Omari Cotterell and Nigel Buckley each tallied their third goals on the year.
- Nigel Buckley had a strong game in last year's matchup with George Mason, scoring one goal to help La Salle to a 4-1 win.
- The Explorers are now 2-1 in A-10 conference matches after their win over St. Bonaventure.
- Freshman goalkeeper, Filip Sabatti, notched two saves in his last start against St. Bonaventure, bringing his save percentage to .611.
Scouting the Patriots –
- George Mason is most recently coming off a 4-0 loss to No. 19 Dayton on Saturday.
- Graduate student, Noah Raphael, is George Mason's leading goal scorer in 2022 thus far, scoring two goals.
- Ariel Aguas is the Patriots' leading shot taker having taken 13, with six of those being on goal.
- Senior goalkeeper, Jake Langley, has started in net every game for George Mason this season and has a 0.589 save percentage.
