El Mancini,
Ibrahim Kedir and
Taonga Mbambo of the La Salle men's and women's cross country teams put up a hard-fought battle at the NCAA Championships on Saturday morning.
Liz Mancini cracked the top 100 in the 253-runner field. The graduate student crossed the line in 87
th with a time of 20:31.6. The mark was just one second shy of tying her career-best n the 6K achieved at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional the week prior.
El Mancini clocked in at 21:12.7 for 186
th place.
Ibrahim Kedir kept a steady pace clocking in around the three-minute mark for each split. He placed 134
th in the 252-runner field with a time of 30:28.3.
Taonga Mbambo clocked in at 32:04.0 in the contest.
The championships conclude the season for the Explorers cross country teams as they now turn their focus to the indoor track and field season set to begin in a few short weeks.
