Men's Swimming and Diving | November 21, 2022
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Explorers will take on the Villanova Wildcats on Tuesday, November 21
st at 1 p.m. at the Kirk Pool.
Both La Salle teams are coming off a full weekend competing at the Bucknell Invitational where multiple program records were broken by the women.
Scouting the Explorers (Women) –
- Women's swimming and diving is coming off a fifth-place finish in the Bucknell Invite and beat out Atlantic 10 conference member, Davidson, in the process.
- Four La Salle program records were broken by the women while at Bucknell.
- Three relay records were broken including the 200-yard freestyle, 200-yard medley relay, and the 400-yard freestyle relay.
- Gabriela Herbreder was a member of all three of those record-breaking medley teams in addition to her own individual record.
- Herbreder swam a 1:58.52 in the 200IM event and not only broke a La Salle record with that time, but it ranks 36th fastest in the country.
- Phoebe Shaya swept her events in the three and one-meter dives, earning first place in both. Shaya is now undefeated this season
Scouting the Explorers (Men) –
- The men finished in seventh overall in the Bucknell Invitational this past weekend.
- Zack Wolbert is continuing his strong start to the season and finished within the top-five three times in the invitational.
- George Williamson is continued to impress in his freshman season as he finished four times within the top-five. In the men's 1650-yard freestyle he took second place.
- Sam Henninger and Carter Randall took second and fourth, respectively, in the men's one-meter dive.
