Pittsburgh, Pa. – Explorers men's soccer dropped a hard-fought battle to the Duquesne Dukes 2-1 on Saturday night.
The Explorers will end their season with a 5-9-4 overall record and 3-3-2 in conference.
How it Happened –
- The first half of the match went scoreless, but La Salle kept the offensive pressure on the Dukes as they took five total shots.
- La Salle opened the scoring in the 55th minute of the match as Giammarco Rodio put a header in the back of the net off a free-kick restart. This gave La Salle the 1-0 lead.
- Duquesne earned a penalty-kick chance in the 69th minute and Zach Mowka made the most of the opportunity, putting the ball in the back of the net. The game stood at 1-1.
- Zach Mowka scored his second goal of the contest in the 82nd, eventually becoming the difference maker in a 2-1 Duquesne win.

- Duquesne led in shots on the night taking 15 total opposed to La Salle's 12.
- Each team kicked five corner-kicks on the night.
- Andres Rodriguez and Giammarco Rodio led La Salle with three shots each in the game.
