Women's Swimming and Diving | December 2, 2022
KINGSTON, RI. – The 2-2-1 Explorers women's swim and dive team will compete in their first in-conference meet tomorrow against Rhode Island (5-2). The meet will begin at 11 a.m.
Scouting the Explorers –
- The women are recently coming off a 151-149 loss to Villanova but had some strong performances throughout.
- Gabriela Herbreder continued her strong season against Villanova as she took first in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke.
- Emma van Selm received her first nomination for Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week in part of her performance against Villanova.
- van Selm won both the 50 and 100-yard freestyle against Villanova.
- Phoebe Shaya won the A-10 Performer of the Week last week as she took first place in the three-meter dive and second place in the one-meter dive in the meet against Villanova.
Scouting the Rams –
- Rhode Island most recently finished in second place in their invitational, and their overall record on the season is 5-2.
- Jackie Triglia was the Ram's best performer in their last meet as she totaled 39 points.
- Maddie Tetreault took third place in the 1650-yard freestyle in the invitational for Rhode Island.
