PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The La Salle women's basketball team (6-3) will take a trip down Broad Street to face Temple (3-5) this Monday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. The game will stream live on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle looks for a second consecutive win after defeating Lehigh 66-54 at home in Tom Gola Arena Saturday afternoon.
  • The Explorers have not won two-straight since its four-game win streak earlier in the season ended by a loss to Alaska Anchorage.
  • La Salle is no stranger to tight turnaround times this season playing a game almost every three days or less through the first seven games to start the season.
  • The Explorers look to claim their first Big 5 win this season holding a current 0-1 record in Big 5 play.
  • Kayla Spruill led the offensive effort for the Explorers in the contest against Lehigh with 26 points, just two shy of tying her career high. She has now reached the 20-point mark twice this season and has recorded six total game with double-digit scoring. The graduate student currently ranks seventh in Atlantic 10 and 67th in the nation in points with 136. Her 51% shooting puts her at fifth in the league and 95th in the nation.
  • La Salle loves the long ball ranking 21st nationally and second in the conference in 3-point attempts averaging 26.8 per game. Charity Shears has attempted the most for the Blue & Gold (58) to rank 34th nationally and sixth in the A-10.
  • Amy Jacobs has been strong up at the rim for the Explorers this season. After reaching a career high of nine rebounds to start the season at Howard on Nov. 11 she topped the mark with her first double-digit rebounding effort of her career with 10 in the contest against Lehigh. The senior went a perfect 3-of-3 from the field, but fell just one bucket short at the line (3-of-4) to sit one-point away from her first career double-double.
  • La Salle has outrebounded its opponents five times this season and has won every game in which it has beat its opponents at the boards.
  • The Explorers have yet to concede the victory when leading at halftime this season.
  • Mia Jacobs has been a quiet yet powerful force at the free-throw line for the Explorers this season. She is currently shooting 83.3% from the charity stripe and has recorded four games with perfect shooting from the line including two games shooting a season-high 4-of-4.

SCOUTING THE OWLS:
  • Temple will play its second-straight home contest. The Owls enter the contest at 3-5 after defeating UMBC 68-53 on Saturday.
  • The Owls are 2-1 when playing at the Liacouras Center dropping its only home contest to then No. 24 Villanova as part of a three-game skid snapped by a road win at Bucknell.
  • Temple has three players averaging double-digit points this season: Aleah Nelson (16.0), Tarriyonna Gary (10.8) and Jasha Clinton (10.1).
  • Nelson leads the offensive efforts shooting 40.8% from the field and 37.9% from the 3-point range. Nelson also leads the team with an impressive 44 assists.
