• A five-meter put VMI on the board to start 1-0. Francesca Co' followed it up less than a minute later to tie the score, 1-1, and start La Salle on a 4-0 spurt through the 2:34 mark with the Keydets finding the back of the net to cut the deficit to two, 4-2. La Salle extended the lead back to three, 5-2, just 20 seconds later. Kalista Hyham went on a solo 2-0 run through the final two minutes to give La Salle a five-goal lead heading into the second frame, 7-2.
• Shanna Zuanich put up a fight against the VMI goalkeeper to kick off a 3-0 run for La Salle through the 5:19 mark, 10-2. The Keydets stopped the run with a single goal, but the Explorers held the 5-0 advantage through the rest of the frame to take an 15-3 lead into the second half.
• The third quarter was an even affair through the first four minutes with both squads finding the back of the net once. A penalty shot by Hyham found its way past the goal to put La Salle up by 13, 17-4. After a scoreless two minutes a Co' goal started a 3-0 run for the Explorers through the rest of the stanza to give them a 16-point advantage heading into the final frame, 20-4.
• The Explorers started the final frame on a 3-0 run to pull ahead by 19, 23-4. VMI found some momentum holding the 3-1 advantage through the remainder of the frame for a final score of 24-7.

• Sarah DeFusco, Madelyn Koerper, Zuanich and Hyham each totaled four goals for the Explorers.
• Sophie Appler added two goals while Tatum Lomax, Madison Martinez and Casey Malone tallied one apiece.
• Francesca Co' led the Explorers in assists with seven in the game.
• Karle Linden dominated defensively with four steals while Koerper recorded two field blocks
• Caitlin Valentine made nine saves in the net while adding two assists and one steal.
• La Salle went 3-1 in sprints.
