Emma Gurasich and
Shanna Zuanich landed on All-MAAC teams with Hyham also being named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conferences' Co-Player of the Year, the league announced Friday.
Hyham, who was also named to the All-MAAC First Team, was tabbed as Co-Player of the Year following the preseason coaches' poll at the start of the season. She has been a dominant offensive force for the Explorers scoring 104 goals in 35 games. The center has become the first Explorer in program history to hit the 100-goal mark in a single season. Hyham also leads La Salle in drawn exclusions with an impressive 89.
Gurasich is the lone goalie represented on the All-MAAC First Team. The Long Beach, California native helped to lead the Explorers to a program-record 12 consecutive wins. She has recorded over 922 minutes in the net for La Salle this season making 255 saves in 35 games. Gurasich has also added 38 assists and 63 saves on the season.
Zuanich earned a spot on the All-MAAC Second Team following a standout junior campaign. The junior set two single-game program records with a career-high nine assists and 12 points against Salem. She is the third-leading goal scorer for the Explorers with 50 goals in 34 games. The Westminster, California native leads La Salle in assists with 60.
These are the first All-MAAC honors for all three players. Hyham previously was named All-CWPA First Team following her senior campaign at Bucknell.
La Salle returns to the pool tomorrow Apr. 24 at 12 p.m. to take on No. 1 seeded Wagner in the first round of the MAAC Championships.
