West Long Branch, N.J. – The Explorers are traveling up to New Jersey to face the Monmouth Hawks on Tuesday, September 20
th at 7 p.m.
La Salle enters the contest at 1-4-2, and Monmouth is 2-3.
Scouting the Explorers –
- The Blue & Gold are coming off a 1-3 loss to Saint Louis in the first A-10 Conference match of the season.
- Luis Puchol notches his first goal of the season with a late header against Saint Louis
- Omari Cotterell and Giammarco Rodio are the offensive powerhouses for La Salle and are coming into Tuesday with two goals each and 18 total shots.
- Junior defender, Aimar Leunda, had his first action this season against Saint Louis and gave great energy to the defensive efforts.
Scouting the Hawks –
- After starting the season 2-0, Monmouth has lost three straight games and most recently against the College of Charleston, 3-1.
- Freshman forward, Kristian Loenvig, leads Monmouth with two goals and four points on the season.
- Ben Zakowski is tied with Loenvig with six total shots for the Hawks in 2022.
- Eryk Dymora has started all five games in net for Monmouth and has a 0.727 save percentage.
