Box Score West Long Branch, N.J. – The La Salle men's soccer team fell 2-0 to the Monmouth Hawks on Tuesday night.
La Salle now falls to 1-5-2 on the season, as Monmouth is now 3-3.
How it Happened –
- The Explorers came out shooting early and often, taking two shots within the first nine minutes of the game.
- Monmouth and La Salle continued to keep the goaltenders busy in the first half as each team had six total shots.
- In the 55th minute of the match senior, Luke McBeth, broke the scoreless tie with a top-shelf goal, giving Monmouth the 1-0 lead.
- Not soon after, in the 60th minute, Ben Zakowski, put the Hawks up 2-0 as he put the ball into the back of the net.
