NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its 2022-23 men's basketball schedule and television selections on Wednesday.
A-10 teams will be featured a league-record 135 times, including 79 nationally televised and digitally produced games across the league's three media partners: ESPN, CBS Sports, and NBC Sports.
La Salle will open its A-10 slate on the road against VCU on New Year's Eve, leading into its home-opening conference game a week later on Saturday, Jan. 7 against Rhode Island at Tom Gola Arena.
The Explorers will be featured on television a total of four times, including a non-conference matchup with city rival Drexel on Saturday, Dec. 10 on USA Network. The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day rivalry game on Jan. 16 against Saint Joseph's will be shown on CBS Sports Network. The rematch with the Hawks on Feb. 5 will air on one of ESPN's networks.
The La Salle-Saint Louis contest will be broadcast by USA Network, beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET. A fifth game - Feb. 28 at Dayton - will be shown live on NBC Sports Digital. All games not carried as part of the A-10's national television package will stream live on ESPN+.
Other home games for the Explorers include a regular-season ending matchup with Loyola Chicago on Saturday, March 4, and weekend games against Fordham (Jan. 14) and UMass (Feb. 11). La Salle also plays host to Davidson (Jan. 24), George Washington (Feb. 1), Richmond (Feb. 15) and Duquesne (Feb. 22). Remaining road games include UMass (Jan. 11), URI (Jan. 28), St. Bonaventure (Feb. 8), George Mason (Feb. 18), and George Washington (Feb. 25).
The Explorers will begin 2022-23 season on Monday, Nov. 7 at Villanova, before returning to Tom Gola Arena for Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, Nov. 12 with a game against Wagner. Season tickets are on sale now - purchase by visiting goexplorers.com/tickets or calling 215-951-1999.
