PHILADELPHIA, P.a. – The Explorers are set to take on NJIT on Saturday, September 10
th at 7 p.m. La Salle enters the contest with a 1-1-2 record and NJIT comes in at 1-2-1.
Scouting the Explorers –
- La Salle is coming off their second draw of the season, tying Lehigh 2-2.
- Giammarco Rodio scored his second equalizing goal of the year and is on a two-game scoring streak.
- La Salle continued to outshoot their opponents in the last game taking 16 total shots.
- 2021's leading scorer, Nigel Buckley, notched his first goal on the year with helped tie the game late against Lehigh.
Scouting the Highlanders –
- NJIT is coming off back-to-back close loses to UConn and Iona.
- The team has scored six goals thus far, with Asembo Augo, and Goncalo Franco leading the team in scoring with two goals apiece.
- Senior goalkeeper, Samuel Reisgys, has started all four games this year and has 18 saves between the pipes.
