STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The La Salle men's and women's track and field teams return to action this Saturday, Jan. 21 for the Villanova Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Complex, the location of last week's Penn 10-Team Select.
The meet will kick off at 4 p.m. and have 10 field events and 20 running events, including one relay. Live results will be available

The Explorers started the season off strong last time out with three first-place winners.
Liam Rivard was the only medal-winner for the Explorers on the men's side claiming gold in the 800-meter at the Penn 1o-Team Select. The senior clocked in at 1:51.06, the best time in the Atlantic 10 this season and fourth-best time in program history. The performance earned him the conference's Men's Track Performer of the Week title.
Dylan Servis followed closely behind in the 800m with a time of 1:55.45. His time was good for seventh in the league.
David Butts landed in sixth in the conference rankings with a 3K time of 8:18.0.
Olabisi Adams made the La Salle record books with her 5.78m mark in the long jump. The mark was not only good for a first-place finish at the meet, but ranked second in the league and second all-time at La Salle.
Nevaeh Davis landed in the Explorers' record book for the 200m dash with a time of 25.74, sixth-best in program history.
El Mancini also snagged her first indoor victory of the season in the 3K. Her final time of 9:32.20 ranked first in the league. She was joined atop the A-10 leaderboards by sisters
Liz Mancini and
Christine Mancini. Liz brought home the bronze in the mile clocking in at 4:47.63 to rank first in the league.
Christine Mancini followed just-behind in sixth with the second-best time in the A-10 of 4:50.80. Her time placed her at eighth all-time in La Salle history.
