Men's Swimming and Diving | January 21, 2023
Bronx, N.Y. – La Salle swimming and diving lost against both schools in the Fordham dual meet this afternoon. The men lost 161-129 to Fordham, while the women came up short to Fordham (188-111) and Richmond (172-122). The women are now 3-5-1 overall this season, and then men are 3-5.
How the Swimmers Finished –
- Annie Moser came up big in the women's 1000-yard freestyle taking first-place.
- On the men's side, George Williamson secured the top spot for the Explorers in the 1000-yard free.
- In the 200-yard freestyle, freshman, Felix Jedbratt, swam to a first-place finish with a time of 1:41.78.
- Getting his second win of the meet, Jedbratt won the men's 100-yard freestyle.
- Senior, Trent Burr added another win to his season in the men's 200-yard backstroke.
- Williamson won another distance race with a 4:42.92 time in the men's 500-yard freestyle.
How the Divers Finished –
- Sam Henninger swept in both the men's one and three-meter dives scoring a 265.65 and a 289.20, respectively.
- Phoebe Shaya dove to a third-place finish in the women's one-meter dive with a score of 261.95.
- Shaya also finished in third place in the three meter-dive with a 263.80 score.
