PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Lucas Dekaney was named A-10 Conference Co-Performer of the Week after his clean sweep of diving events this past weekend. Andrea Savoca swam to three first-place finishes this weekend earning him A-10 Rookie of the Week.
 
Dekaney is a senior transfer from St. Bonaventure University and started off his La Salle career strong. In the meet against Towson, he was able to take first place in the one-meter dive with a score of 271.35. In the three-meter he was also able to secure the top spot with a 258.90 score. In the meet against UMBC, Dekaney was able to repeat his performance against Towson. Dekaney took the top spot in the one- and three-meter dives.
 
Making his La Salle debut this past weekend, Italian Andrea Savoca had three stellar performances. Savoca was able to swim to three total first place finishes. Against Towson, he claimed the fastest time in the men's 100-yard breaststroke. Saturday's meet at UMBC proved to be another strong one for Savoca. He finished in first place in the 100-breaststroke and the 200-yard breaststroke.
