PITTSBURGH – The La Salle men's soccer team will hit the road on Saturday to face Duquesne in its regular season finale at Rooney Field. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Follow the team on X @LaSalle_MSOC and Instagram @lasalle_msoc.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
- The Explorers (5-7-4, 1-4-2 A-10) tied Monmouth, 1-1, in their last match at McCarthy Stadium. Justin Brunow scored the goal to tie up the match.
- The Explorers will try to beat Duquesne for the sixth time in their last 13 meetings. The Explorers played the Dukes twice last season, topping them 1-0 in the regular season before the Dukes earned a 2-1 win against them in the A-10 quarterfinals.
- Americo Pereira leads the Explorers in points with seven. Pereira, Sean Yurgel, and Yuval Nimrodi pace the team in goals with three. Drew Blackwell leads the team in assists with five.
- Filip Sabatti leads the team in saves with 50 this season and has a .694 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE DUKES
- Duquesne (7-6-3, 3-2-2 A-10) after beating Wright State, 3-2, on Wednesday. Tate Mohney scored the first two goals of the game. Ask Ekeland assisted on both goals as well as tallying a goal of his own.
- The Dukes are tied for sixth in the A-10 standings with 11 points.
- Ekeland leads the team in points (21) and goals (nine). Nate Dragisch leads the team in assists with four.
- Duquesne allowed 25 percent more corner kicks than they took this season.
- Zoltan Nagy started in goal for all of Duquesne's matches, accumulating 78 saves and has posted a .772 save percentage.
- The Dukes are led by head coach Chase Brooks. He is in his 11th season in the position.
