SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle is coming off a tough loss to Drexel last Wednesday night 71-46 in a game where freshman Nicole Melious led the way again for La Salle.
  • The New York native totaled ten points and two assists and increased her season scoring total as she remains atop for the Explorers.
  • Emilee Tahata was another strong performer for La Salle against Drexel as she totaled seven points, grabbed four rebounds, and had two steals.
  • In her 16 minutes of play Makayla Miller was able to produce off the bench. She scored a season-high eight points for La Salle.
  • This will be the tenth match up between La Salle and Rider in their history. The Explorers lead the series 6-3, only capturing two wins in Lawrenceville.
  • The Broncs have performed better at home when facing La Salle as two of their three series wins have come at Alumni Gym.
  • In this match up history there have been a few winning streaks. La Salle will look to build off of their last win over Rider in 2021 and continue their winning streak to more than one game, as history has proven between these teams.

SCOUTING THE BRONCS:
  • Taylor Langan and Makayla Firebaugh are the leading scorers for the Broncs early in the season each having scored 44 points.
  • Firebaugh is the only Rider player with experience against La Salle having played in the last match up in 2021. She played 33 minutes in that game and finished with six points, five rebounds, and four steals in the La Salle win.
  • Langan is a force on the boards as well as scoring as she leads Rider with 24 total rebounds, 17 defensive.
  • Junior Sanaa Redmond is the top ball distributor for Rider having 18 assists in Rider's four games.
  • The Explorers will have to do a good job out-rebounding the Broncs as they totaled 38 in their last game against Boston University, a season-high.
