Men's Swimming and Diving | November 3, 2023
PHILADELPHIA – Explorer swimming and diving will face the Villanova Wildcats tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m.
The men enter tomorrow in search of their first team win of the season while the women look to continue their strong start.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- Both squads are coming off competing in the A-10 Classic down in George Mason.
- There were strong individual performances across both sides, but the teams came up short in the final results.
- The diving remains a force for the team as they were all diving onto the podium in their last meet out.
- Sam Henninger was able to secure multiple top-two finishes in the A-10 Classic.
- The standout rookie from Italy Andrea Savoca continued his success for the Explorers in the team's last meet.
- Toni Rafferty was able to get multiple first-place finishes in the quick sprint events last weekend in Fairfax, Virginia.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS:
- The women have competed in two meets this season for Villanova, winning in both of them.
- They topped UCONN in their first meet 154-146 and Georgetown 156-44.
- The men have competed in two meets thus far. They fell to Georgetown 206-92 and lost to Rider 165-128. Currently the men are competing at NJIT,
- The Wildcats are led by Rick Simpson. Todd Michael is the head diving coach for Villanova.
