EASTON, Pa. - The La Salle men's basketball team travels outside of Philadelphia for just the second time this season when it takes the short trip north to face Lafayette on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., with all of the action available on ESPN+.

NEWS & NOTES
- Sophomore Andres Marrero scored a career-high 18 points and also set a new career mark with six rebounds in a thrilling one-point win for the Explorers over Loyola Maryland on Wednesday.
- Marrero hit six three-pointers, including the game-winning shot with just over 11 seconds remaining that gave La Salle the lead for good.
- The Explorers trailed 60-49 with just under five minutes remaining in the second half, before mounting a furious comeback.
- Marrero accounted for six points of a 13-2 run that closed the game and propelled La Salle to the win.
- Senior Anwar Gill was the only other Explorer to reach double figures, finishing with 15 points.
- The backcourt duo of Jhamir Brickus and Khalil Brantley combined for 14 points, which was well below their season scoring average. They did, however, dish out 11 assists against just two turnovers.
- Junior Daeshon Shepherd pulled down a team-high nine rebounds and also had a pair of blocked shots defensively.
- La Salle only went to the free-throw line a total of six times in a game that saw the two teams combine for just 21 fouls.
- Ilic Milos had a double-double for Loyola Maryland with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
SCOUTING LAFAYETTE
- The Leopards have a record of 1-9 on the season and have lost six games in a row after an 83-72 loss at Columbia on Tuesday.
- The two schools have a pair of common opponents thus far - Penn and Drexel, both Big 5 foes. La Salle is 2-0 against the duo, while Lafayette is 0-2.
- Eric Sondberg is averaging 10.6 points per game to lead the team, and is shooting over 49 percent from three-point range.
- Mark Butler has totaled 41 assists to pace the squad, and is also tops in steals with 16.
SERIES HISTORY
- The two teams met last season at Tom Gola Arena, with Lafayette coming away with a resounding 90-65 win.
- The Leopards shot 15-for-26 from three-point range (57.7%), and eight different players connected from deep in the game.
- Khalil Brantley had a team-high 14 points in the game, and also added four assists.
- The win for the Leopards was just their 12th in 47 games in the all-time series, but was their second straight and third in the last six meetings.
