Men's Swimming and Diving | February 3, 2023
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The La Salle men and women's swim and dive team is returning to the Kirk Pool in TruMark Financial Center for the final regular season meet against Monmouth.
The women enter the meet at 3-5-1 and the men are 3-5 overall. The Monmouth women are 2-5 overall and the men sit at 3-4.
Prior to the meet there will be a senior day ceremony held for those potentially swimming or diving in their final home meet as an Explorer.
Scouting the Explorers –
- Both teams are coming off a tough meet against Fordham and Richmond two weeks ago.
- Senior Trent Burr is coming into senior day on a hot streak as he finished in first in the men's 200-yard backstroke his last time out.
- Annie Moser and George Williamson both won in the distance events in their last meet.
- Senior, Sam Henninger, won in both the one and three-meter dives against Fordham and Richmond.
Scouting the Hawks –
- The Monmouth men and women swept Saint Peter's in their last time out. The men winning 154-86 and the women 159-58.
- Senior, Callan Smith, performed strong for the Hawks on their senior day winning in the 100-yard backstroke, 50-yard freestyle, and the 100-yard freestyle.
- For the men, Cole Dyson touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle.
