EDISON, N.J. – La Salle women's water polo goalkeeper Emma Gurasich was named this week's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league on Wednesday.
 
This is the second honor this season for the senior who earned the award just three weeks ago. Gurasich totaled 20 saves on a 1-2 weekend for the Explorers. She added six assists and three steals across the two contests.
 
The senior saw her best performance in the 12-2 victory over Chapman making a weekend-high eight saves while adding three assists and one steal.
 
So far this season, Gurasich has totaled 80 saves, 11 assists and 16 steals. She site just 20 saves away from recording 100 on the season.
 
Gurasich and the rest of the Explorers return to the pool this weekend for the Harvard Invitational.
