PHILADELPHIA — The La Salle men's rowing team opened its spring season Saturday against Drexel on the Schuylkill River.
 
The Explorers picked up a victory in the second varsity eight race over the Dragons, winning in a time of 6:10.1.In addition, the Explorers competed well in the varsity eight race against the Dragons, crossing the finish line in 5:59.4 to finish three seconds behind their local rival, which won that race and the overall title at the Dad Vail Regatta last year.
 
The Explores will return to action on April 8 when they compete in the Murphy Cup on the Schuylkill River.
