BOSTON, Mass. – The La Salle men's and women's track and field teams will conclude the indoor season at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships this Saturday, Mar. 4 and Sunday, Mar. 5 at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
The meet will begin on Saturday wit field events starting at 10 a.m. and track events following at 11 a.m. and will conclude on Sunday with another 10 a.m./11 a.m. start.
The Explorers enter the competition following a successful showing at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships last weekend. La Salle was led by double gold-medal winner
El Mancini. The graduate student brought home the individual title in the 5K with a time of 16:28.62 followed by the 3K with a time of 9:34.34. Her performances earned her the league's Most Outstanding Track Performer award.
Olabisi Adams brought home the gold for La Salle in the long jump with a program record-setting mark of 5.91 meters.
Christine Mancini joined her sister and Adams with a first-place finish in the 1K marking her second consecutive title in the event with a time of 2:48.98.
Liam Rivard rounded out the first-place finishers earning his second-career A-10 individual title with a gold medal in the 800m. The senior clocked in at 1L54.44.
